Silo Stays & Farm Days
We are a new, charming and rustic retreat within a family-friendly farm environment. Our guests can enjoy silo days and farm days on at the Silos by Preston Trail Farm: a comfortable, peaceful escape surrounded by nature—with plenty of activities for the whole family. Our local, family-operated business will be coming this year and we are so excited to share it with you! We are conveniently located in the small, country town of Gunter, TX, and less than 30 minutes from Frisco, TX where you can find “big city” experiences.
We hope you have heard about our pumpkin farm “The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm”. With the silos, we are bringing you an “all-in” type of experience. During the pumpkin farm season our guests will have access to pumpkin farm and all of the amenities and activities offered during their stay. Our pumpkin farm is open, with an admission fee, from mid-September up until Thanksgiving. From Thanksgiving to Labor Day, our farm is open—admission free! We will be booking stays as the construction process comes to a close. We are finishing our walking trail and fishing dock additions, and have plans for even more activities. From family reunions to a break from reality, we hope to become a go-to staycation during every season.
Preston Trail Farms is one of few places in Texas that offers up-close experiences with Texas Longhorns! Last fall, this mom & baby duo joined our PTF family and existing longhorn herd!

-Weekend Exclusive: Train Ride (for the kiddos, but we wont stop you from hopping in)

Stay until close and take advantage of our many photo ops! Additionally, we are working on packages for our booked guests interested in purchasing pumpkins!
After Thanksgiving until Labor Day (Non-Peak)
Our guests will have access to:
-Petting Farm Access—sheep, goats, ducks, cows, and Texas longhorns.
